Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 22nd that it indicted A, 58, an inmate at Jeonju Prison, on a charge of false accusation.
A is accused of falsely filing a complaint on April 13, claiming that he had been assaulted by two inmates who shared his cell.
An investigation found that no assault had taken place inside the prison.
Investigators determined that A had filed the false complaint to have fellow inmates with whom he had longstanding grievances punished.
