HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Wins 330 Billion Won Cargo Ship Order from European Shipping Company

[Financial News] HD Hyundai Heavy Industries has signed a contract to build two cargo ships worth 300 billion won for a European shipping company. The company announced on the 22nd that it had signed a contract with a Europe-based shipping company to build two RORO ships. A RORO ship, or roll-on/roll-off ship, is a cargo vessel that transports trucks or trailers loaded with cargo, as well as regular vehicles.
The value of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' latest order is 336.2 billion won, equivalent to 1.91% of the company's revenue last year. The amount was converted using the initial posted exchange rate of 1,383.80 won per unit of foreign currency on the contract date. The contract runs through November 30, 2029. Payments will be collected based on construction progress.
