Busan Chamber Holds Chuseok Songpyeon-Sharing Event at HJ Shipbuilding & Construction

[Financial News] The Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry said on the 22nd that it held a safe songpyeon-sharing event that morning at HJ Shipbuilding & Construction's Yeongdo Shipyard for about 2,800 employees of HJ Shipbuilding & Construction and its partner companies ahead of Chuseok.
The event was part of the Busan Shipbuilding Industry Regional Win-Win Gap Reduction Support Project, which the chamber is pursuing with the Busan Metropolitan City Government and the Ministry of Employment and Labor. It was also a win-win program for main contractors and subcontractors, introduced under the name "Seven Companies, Seven Colors" to expand customized welfare benefits for employees of seven main contractors.
For the event, the Busan Chamber prepared Chuseok songpyeon sets, while HJ Shipbuilding & Construction provided sikhye. The items were distributed to employees of partner companies who were preparing to travel home for the holiday.
An official from the Busan Chamber said, "We introduced a win-win program led by main contractors to expand welfare benefits for employees of partner companies. HJ Shipbuilding & Construction took an active role, creating a positive atmosphere ahead of the holiday. We will continue to actively support the expansion of welfare benefits for employees of partner companies by designing various programs tailored to the individual worksites of main contractors."
The Busan Chamber plans to continue providing specialized welfare programs for various occasions, including support at worksites during periods of extreme cold and cultural and leisure activities. It also aims to expand cases in which the continued participation of main contractors leads to benefits for employees of partner companies.
