[Financial News] CJ CheilJedang is moving to target the U.S. market with its premium distilled spirits brand 'jari.'
According to CJ CheilJedang on the 22nd, the company held a jari launch event in New York and introduced three premium K-spirits products. Held at Moono, a modern Korean restaurant in Manhattan, New York, the event featured a brand introduction, product unveiling and K-food pairing dining program.
The products unveiled that day were JARI MOONBAESOOL 24 and JARI GAMUCHI 24, which were launched in South Korea in July, along with JARI MOONBAESOOL 41, which was introduced in the United States for the first time. JARI MOONBAESOOL 41 has a higher alcohol content, allowing consumers to enjoy the distinctive aroma of munbae more deeply and richly.
On the 23rd, the company will hold K-Spirits X JARI Partners Day at Gui Steakhouse in Manhattan, operated by chef Sungchul Shim, who also runs the Michelin one-star restaurants Mari and Kochi.
The event will invite representatives from major Korean dining establishments in New York and government officials to introduce jari and four outstanding Korean distilleries. It will also provide a forum for exchange and cooperation aimed at expanding K-spirits in global markets.
A CJ CheilJedang representative said, "We will continue strengthening our role as a 'K-spirits globalization platform' that raises the global profile of traditional Korean liquor together with Korean distilleries."
