[Financial News] A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene after entering a women's restroom dressed as a woman and staying there for about five minutes.
According to Yonhap News Agency on the 22nd, Hwaseong Seobu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province arrested Mr. A, a man in his 60s, at the scene on suspicion of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes, specifically intrusion into a public place for sexual purposes.
Mr. A is suspected of entering a women's restroom in a building in Hyangnam-eup, Hwaseong City, at around 8:10 p.m. on the 21st while dressed as a woman and staying there for approximately five minutes.
A citizen who found Mr. A's attire suspicious reported him to police, who arrived at the scene and apprehended him.
At the time of his arrest, Mr. A was not carrying any illicit filming equipment, and no illegal videos were reportedly found on his phone.
During questioning, Mr. A reportedly told police, "I live alone, and I acted impulsively because I had been drinking," adding, "I used the restroom and came out."
Police plan to investigate the specific circumstances of the incident involving Mr. A.
