"Unauthorized Drone Flights in Port of Busan Security Zones May Result in Punishment"

[Financial News] Unauthorized drone flights within port security zones under the jurisdiction of the Port of Busan, or unauthorized filming of port facilities and vessels, may be punished under applicable laws.
Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on the 22nd that it had installed banners at 20 locations near security zones where filming is prohibited. The banners explain the relevant regulations so that citizens and tourists can easily check the rules on drone flights.
BPA put up the banners as the number of citizens visiting port facilities in the Port of Busan increased. With drone filming and recreational activities becoming commonplace, there is also a growing need to prevent people from operating drones near port facilities without first checking whether flights are permitted. 
Security zones at the Port of Busan include the International Passenger Terminal and Jaseongdae Pier, where ocean-going vessels berth and depart, cargo is loaded and unloaded, and passengers board and disembark. Accordingly, drone operators must ensure that these security zones are not included in their flight or filming areas.
A BPA official said, "We will work to promote the Port of Busan as a waterfront space where citizens can enjoy leisure activities while ensuring its safe operation as a national security facility."
