Samsung launches unmanned laundromat business in Vietnam, plans to expand to up to seven stores with local partners by year-end

[HANOI, Vietnam—Correspondent Kim Jun-seok] Samsung Electronics Vietnam has partnered with local companies to launch a 24-hour unmanned laundromat in Ho Chi Minh City equipped with a full lineup of commercial washers and dryers. Samsung Electronics plans to expand the number of stores using this model to seven by the end of 2026.
According to local media reports on the 22nd, Samsung Electronics Vietnam officially opened a TT Laundry store in Tan Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the previous day in cooperation with WW Vietnam and TT Laundry. The opening is viewed as part of a strategic move to showcase Samsung's commercial laundry and drying solutions to customers and investors in Vietnam.
Since launching its commercial laundry solutions in Vietnam last July, Samsung Electronics has worked with local partners to introduce its equipment into actual business models. TT Laundry was established through close cooperation among Samsung Electronics, WW Vietnam, and the store operator, from site surveys and equipment consulting to space design, installation, and test operation.
The store operates as a 24-hour, unmanned self-service facility and is equipped with Samsung commercial washing machines with an 18-kilogram capacity and commercial dryers with a 14-kilogram capacity. Washing cycles start at 36 minutes, while drying cycles start at 45 minutes, allowing customers to complete both processes quickly on their own. The facility also features an open application programming interface (API) system that supports integration with external management platforms and payment systems. This allows operators to remotely monitor equipment status and efficiently manage the unmanned store.
Truong Ngoc Chau, head of TT Laundry, said, "As demand for unmanned laundry services continues to grow, we chose a 24/7 automated model that customers can use conveniently at any time." Chau added, "We adopted Samsung's commercial washers and dryers based on the brand's reliability, technological capabilities, and product quality. After conducting test operations with WW Vietnam, we became confident in their stable operating performance, washing capabilities, and convenience."
Samsung Electronics Vietnam said it plans to work with its partners to expand the number of stores equipped with commercial laundry and drying solutions across Vietnam to seven by the end of 2026. These stores will meet the laundry and drying needs of local residents while serving as demonstration spaces where investors interested in the unmanned laundromat business model can see how it operates in practice.
Samsung Electronics plans to actively support local companies and investors so they can directly experience and adopt its commercial equipment, smart management systems, and potential applications across various business models by expanding its store network and strengthening cooperation with distribution partners.
