[Financial News] As Samsung Securities marks the second anniversary of its “Jusik Moeugi” service, 70% of its users were found to be using it through tax-advantaged accounts.
According to an analysis of “Jusik Moeugi” usage released by Samsung Securities on the 22nd, about 70% of the accounts using the service were tax-advantaged accounts, including brokerage-type Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs), pension savings accounts and retirement pension accounts. They accounted for about two-thirds of the total order value.
“Jusik Moeugi” allows customers to set their preferred securities, investment amounts and frequency, then make regular purchases of domestic and overseas stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Through various account types—including general accounts, brokerage-type ISAs, pension savings accounts, retirement pension accounts, corporate accounts and gold spot accounts—customers can accumulate stocks and ETFs from 10 countries, as well as spot gold.
Among customers who had been enrolled in the service for at least six months, 91% were still using it. In addition, 67% of customers with service experience were managing two or more investment plans.
Benchmark ETFs representing major domestic and overseas indexes dominated the top ranks among the most popular “Jusik Moeugi” investments. Demand was also evident for long-term, diversified investments in dividend-oriented assets and commodities. By account type, U.S.-listed ETFs and individual stocks accounted for the largest share in general accounts, while brokerage-type ISAs and pension accounts showed a clear preference for index-tracking products and dividend and gold products.
Samsung Securities has expanded the range of investable assets and strengthened discovery features such as “Dividend Gathering,” “Popular Rankings” and “Focus Stocks.” It has also improved management convenience by adding features for checking returns and topping up cash balances. Going forward, the company plans to add convenience features, including bulk accumulation across multiple securities and an enhanced notification system, while continuing to expand the assets available for investment.
“Jusik Moeugi is a service that helps customers manage assets in line with their investment goals,” said Koo Ja-sung, who oversees digital platforms at Samsung Securities. “We will continue to enhance the service to meet diverse customer needs, ranging from tax-advantaged accounts and children’s accounts to corporate accounts.”
