The 'Busan International Rock Festival' Map Is Available on Kakao Map

[Financial News] Kakao Map is collaborating with Busan Metropolitan City Government and the Busan Festival Organizing Committee to provide a dedicated map for the 2026 Busan International Rock Festival. The service will include a festival-specific map and performance reminders to make visits more convenient.
According to industry sources on the 22nd, the Busan International Rock Festival is Korea's first and longest-running international rock festival, having been launched in 2000. This year's event will take place from October 2 to 4 at Samnak Eco Park in Sasang District, Busan.
Searching for the Busan International Rock Festival on Kakao Map will bring up the festival's dedicated map. Visitors will not need to carry a separate venue guide, as Kakao Map provides key venue locations and related information, including performance areas, booths, amenities and shuttle bus stops.
Users can set alerts for performances through the performance reminder feature and receive a notification 15 minutes before a show begins. The map also provides lineup and program information, making it useful for planning an itinerary.
The service also offers an On-site Talk feature, which allows users to share and discuss festival-related information and on-site experiences in real time. Through On-site Talk, users can quickly exchange information needed at the festival, such as the atmosphere at the venue, crowd levels and waiting times at individual booths.
The map also includes information on the restaurant alley near Garo Park. Festivalgoers can receive discounts and other benefits by wearing their wristbands when visiting designated restaurants.
A Kakao representative said, "This festival-specific map is designed to allow users visiting the festival to experience nearby restaurants and local businesses as well." The representative added, "Going forward, we will continue to provide richer on-site experiences through Kakao Map's technology and pursue various initiatives that connect users with local communities."
