KAMCO Donates 980 Million Won to Foster Local Talent and Create a Children's Forest

[Financial News] Korea Asset Management (KAMCO), a public institution that relocated to Busan, will make donations to foster local talent and expand spaces for citizens to relax.
Busan Metropolitan City will hold a donation ceremony and sign a memorandum of understanding with KAMCO at City Hall's International Reception Room on the morning of the 22nd. The donations will support scholarships for local talent and the creation of 'Kiyumi Forest' at Geumgang Park.
Under the agreement, KAMCO will donate a total of 780 million won in scholarships to the city over 10 years, from this year through 2035.
The donations will fund living scholarships and employment incentives for third-year and above students and graduates in information technology (IT) and business-related fields at universities in Busan.
KAMCO will also donate 200 million won to create a children's forest experience area at Geumgang Park.
ChildFund Korea will carry out the project with completion targeted for October, while the city will provide the site and oversee its future operation. The area will include themed gardens and forest experience facilities.
