HJ Shipbuilding & Construction Wins Orders for Four Container Ships Worth KRW 679 Billion

[Financial News] HJ Shipbuilding & Construction has won an order for four container ships worth KRW 679 billion. The company announced on the 22nd that it had signed a construction contract for four container ships with a shipowner from Oceania. The contract is worth KRW 678,967,550,000, equivalent to 33.95% of the company's latest annual revenue of KRW 1.9997 trillion, based on its consolidated financial statements at the end of last year. The ships will be sold and supplied to the Oceania region, and the contract runs from September 21 this year to April 30, 2029. The agreement includes a down payment and an advance payment, while the remaining amount will be collected according to the progress of the construction work.
The company said the contract value was calculated using the exchange rate in effect on the contract date—KRW 1,383.80 per US dollar—and could change depending on the progress of the shipbuilding work.
