Kyungnam Pharm Launches 'Naikan tablets,' Targeting Everything from Stomatitis to Vitamin B6 Supplementation

[Financial News]  Kyungnam Pharm is targeting the hospital prescription market with an over-the-counter drug designed to provide vitamin B6 supplementation while also relieving mucosal conditions such as stomatitis.
According to Kyungnam Pharm on the 22nd, the company has launched 'Naikan tablets,' an over-the-counter drug for vitamin B6 supplementation and the relief of symptoms associated with stomatitis, dermatitis and other conditions.
The main ingredients in Naikan tablets are 500 mg of nicotinamide and 50 mg of pyridoxine hydrochloride, a form of vitamin B6. The product can be used to supplement vitamin B6 during pregnancy and breastfeeding and when physical strength is reduced during or after an illness. It also helps relieve symptoms of angular cheilitis, cheilitis, stomatitis, glossitis, eczema and dermatitis.
Children aged 8 and older and adults should take one tablet once a day. The product is available in two sizes: 60 tablets and 150 tablets.
Meanwhile, Kyungnam Pharm plans to expand its sales channels beyond the general consumer market to include hospital prescriptions. Naikan tablets will be supplied through RMS Korea and sold through nonreimbursed prescriptions at general hospitals, as well as in-hospital and out-of-hospital prescriptions.
A Kyungnam Pharm official explained, "The product is designed to allow consumers who need vitamin supplementation, including during pregnancy and breastfeeding and the recovery period after illness, to conveniently manage symptoms such as stomatitis and dermatitis as well."
