"Prepare holiday food with ease" — Emart offers discounts on meal kits and fresh food

[Financial News] Emart is launching discount promotions on foods popular with families during the Chuseok holiday, including meat, sashimi, sushi and meal kits. It will also continue selling easy-to-carry hand-carry gift sets through the day before the holiday.
According to industry sources on the 22nd, Emart will offer discounts from the 24th to the 30th on meat, including pork belly, pork neck and Australian beef, as well as assorted sashimi platters, sushi and meal kits.
The meat promotions will include Australian wagyu and domestic branded pork belly and pork neck, along with marinated and soy sauce-seasoned chicken thigh bulgogi. For convenient meals, Emart has prepared assorted sashimi platters featuring at least five varieties, including flounder and salmon; family sushi containing salmon, flounder and shrimp; and seafood stew and jjampong meal kits.
Chuseok gift sets will be sold through the 24th, the day before the holiday. Focusing on hand-carry products that are convenient to take when returning to one's hometown or visiting family, Emart will offer fruit and dried-fruit gift sets featuring Shine Muscat grapes and dried persimmons. Gift sets of alcoholic beverages, including wine and whiskey, will also be available.
Jeong Woo-jin, who oversees marketing at Emart, said, "For the Chuseok holiday, we have prepared discount promotions ranging from fresh food that the whole family can gather and enjoy together to convenient options such as assorted sashimi platters, sushi and meal kits that can ease the burden of preparing holiday meals." Jeong added, "We hope this promotion will help customers prepare holiday meals for their families at reasonable prices."
