"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0": Man Suddenly Counts Down Before Smashing Someone Else's Car

[Financial News]  A driver's account has emerged of an unidentified man blocking a vehicle on a road late at night and smashing its side mirror and windshield wipers.
On the 21st, JTBC's 'Sageonbanjang' reported the story of Driver A, who said their vehicle was damaged on a road in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province.
At around 1:30 a.m. on the 20th of last month, A was driving and attempting to enter a right-turn lane when they spotted a vehicle stopped with its hazard lights on. A man standing in front of the vehicle spread his arms and blocked A's path.
A initially thought the man might need help, according to A. However, the man suddenly grabbed the driver's-side mirror and threatened A, saying, "Get out."
When A did not open the car door, the man began counting, "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0." After the countdown ended, he repeatedly struck the driver's-side window and continued threatening A.
A immediately called 112. Even while the report was being processed, the man reportedly counted again, smashed the vehicle's side mirror, and tore off the windshield wipers.
A said the man's expression was especially frightening at the time. A recalled, "His expression was blank, like someone whose soul had left their body, as if he were under the influence of something, which made him even more frightening."
Police who arrived at the scene apprehended the man. He reportedly offered little resistance while being taken in for questioning.
The police investigation is still ongoing. A said police told them the man appeared to be drunk, but A's impression was different. A recalled, "Rather than being drunk, he looked as if he had taken drugs."
The vehicle repairs were estimated to cost about 1.1 million won. A explained, "The repair estimate came to about 1.1 million won, and for now I have processed it through my own vehicle insurance. The perpetrator's side brought up a settlement, but I refused because I couldn't agree without knowing exactly what had happened."
A said the incident continues to come back to mind. A lamented, "It is the route I always take home from work, but every time I pass by, what happened that day comes back to me, and it is very difficult."
