[Financial News] A story has emerged about a 13-year-old boy who burst into tears after receiving an uneven haircut at a well-known branded salon. The salon and the customer are offering conflicting accounts.
After a customer posted a review calling the haircut "like crap," the designer replied angrily, "You were late for your appointment."

Recently, a post appeared on the social media platform Thread saying, "I had my child's hair cut like this at a branded salon, but they got angry because I used the words 'it looks like crap' in my review."
The poster, identified only as A, said she visited the salon on the 18th to have her 13-year-old son's hair cut. Photos later shared online showed that the hair at the back and sides of her son's head had been cut unevenly.
Dissatisfied with the result, A left a review saying, "I didn't say anything and left because I thought they would cut it like crap again even if they trimmed it."
In response, the designer said A had arrived after her 3 p.m. appointment and that it had been difficult to serve her immediately because another customer was already receiving treatment. The designer also claimed that she had suggested using clippers to tidy the hair that was sticking up and the back of the head, but that the customer had declined.
The designer said, "I am sorry that I was unable to finish tidying the hair," but added, "I think using language like 'crap' was excessive," expressing her displeasure.
Customer: "I was exactly six minutes late, but your reply made me even angrier"... Salon workers: "It looks like an intern cut it"

A countered, "I was exactly six minutes late. I called the salon twice because I thought I would be late, but no one answered either call." She also emphasized that she had not refused to use clippers; rather, "I asked them to cut it neatly without using clippers."
She added in the comments, "I have no intention of seeking compensation. I was upset, and I am only sharing my frustration because the reply to my review made me angry."
One commenter who identified themselves as working in the hairdressing industry said, "No matter how busy you are, you don't finish a haircut like that."
Some speculated that an intern or trainee had cut the boy's hair, but A said, "It was not an intern. I had it done by the designer with the most reviews at that salon."
A explained that her son had calmed down afterward, but that she was looking for somewhere to have his hair trimmed again because he has a school field trip coming up soon.
She added bitterly, "My child was crying when we left the salon, but later he actually comforted me, saying, 'You can just wear a hat.'"
