"Get a grip, you crazy b****"—Soldier in his 20s who cursed at female superior in front of unit members receives deferred pronouncement of prison sentence

[Financial News] A man in his 20s who, while serving in the military, loudly hurled insults at a female superior who had reprimanded him in front of fellow unit members received a deferred pronouncement of a prison sentence.
According to Yonhap News Agency on the 21st, Presiding Judge Kim Dong-seok of the Daegu District Court's Criminal Division 1 deferred the pronouncement of a two-month prison sentence for A, a man in his 20s who had been indicted on charges of insulting a superior.
At around 3:20 p.m. on April 17 last year, while serving in the military, A allegedly shouted at B, his superior who was 33 years old at the time, in the administrative section of his unit in Yangju-si, Gyeonggi Province: "Train me instead, you f***ing bastard" and "Get a grip. You crazy b****." He was subsequently put on trial for publicly insulting her.
A reportedly directed the profanities at B while other unit members were watching.
The investigation found that A had cursed at B because he was upset that she had reprimanded him.
The court explained its sentencing decision, stating, "The offense in this case undermined order and discipline within the military, and the defendant's culpability is not insignificant. However, we took into account that the defendant admitted to the crime and made efforts to repair the harm, including depositing 3 million won for the victim; that he is a man in his early 20s with no prior criminal record; and his circumstances at the time, as well as the circumstances and content of the remarks."
