"Sul Kyung-gu and Zo In-sung's Tears Made Jeon Do-yeon Miss Her Chance to Cry"... Possible Love Returns Home in Triumph

[Financial News] Actor Sul Kyung-gu explained why he shed tears at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. 
Possible Love won the Silver Lion (Jury Prize) at the Venice International Film Festival, held in Venice, Italy, on the 12th local time. During the world premiere, a standing ovation lasted approximately 6 to 7 minutes, and Sul Kyung-gu and Zo In-sung were captured with tears in their eyes, drawing widespread attention.
At a press screening and press conference for Possible Love held at CGV I-Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, on the 21st, Sul Kyung-gu recalled, "I watched the film for the second time in Venice. I was immersed in it during the first technical screening as well, but in Venice, I kept seeing something like hope in Mi-ok. I was moved by the thought, 'Could there be hope for us, too?'"
Starring Jeon Do-yeon, Sul Kyung-gu, Zo In-sung, and Cho Yeo-jeong, Possible Love follows two couples who have lived very different lives: a laid-off worker and his wife, and a documentary director and his husband. They meet through the production of a documentary and confront their inner selves. Sul Kyung-gu and Jeon Do-yeon play the laid-off worker and his wife, Ho-seok and Mi-ok, respectively.
When they were young, Ho-seok and Mi-ok fell in love while gazing at the moon over the night sea in Incheon. A later scene in the film also shows the couple looking at the moon together. 
"My heart was surging as I watched the moon," Sul Kyung-gu said. "The audience applauded, and various moments from filming flashed before me like a panorama. I think all those mixed emotions finally erupted." He added that he received many messages from people around him after returning home and said with a laugh, "I was so embarrassed."
When Zo In-sung, who was sitting beside him, said, "I cried because you cried," Sul Kyung-gu replied, "The fact that Zo In-sung cried along with me was at least comforting. Jeon Do-yeon seems to have missed her chance to cry because we cried too much," he joked.
Zo In-sung also mentioned the incident in his closing remarks at the press conference, saying, "After the reporters applauded when the film ended today, I watched to see whether Kyung-gu would cry again. Fortunately, it seems you managed to hold it in today." His comment drew laughter.
