Hope Friend Hunger Countermeasures and KB Kookmin Bank to Provide Chuseok Goods to 14,000 Households

[Financial News] Hope Friend Hunger Countermeasures and KB Kookmin Bank will deliver food and daily necessities purchased at traditional markets to about 14,000 vulnerable households nationwide in celebration of Chuseok.
According to the international relief and development NGO Hope Friend Hunger Countermeasures on the 21st, the two organizations are holding the “2026 Chuseok Traditional Market Sharing Event.”
They will purchase goods at about 70 traditional markets nationwide using local currencies and Onnuri Gift Certificates, then deliver them to eligible households through local governments and welfare facilities.
Onnuri Gift Certificates can be used at registered affiliated merchants in traditional markets, shopping districts, and other designated locations. The program supports merchants’ sales through the purchase and delivery of goods while providing essential items to vulnerable households.
Hope Friend Hunger Countermeasures and KB Kookmin Bank have continued this holiday-sharing program since 2011. On the 18th, officials from the two organizations visited Yeongdeungpo Traditional Market in Seoul, met with merchants, and purchased goods for the donation.
Park Jae-beom, vice chairman of Hope Friend Hunger Countermeasures, said, "I hope the warmth sent by KB Kookmin Bank will give strength to traditional market merchants and help their neighbors in need enjoy a more generous and warmer holiday season."
