Big Tech CEOs to Gather at U.S.-China Leaders’ State Dinner: “Microsoft’s Nadella Also Attending”

[Financial News] Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is reportedly expected to attend the state dinner that U.S. President Donald Trump will host at the White House on the 24th local time to welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Foreign media reported on the 21st that the Big Tech executives attending the state dinner will include Apple executive chairman Tim Cook, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon, among others. 
The U.S.-China leaders’ meeting has drawn attention because prominent tech executives are gathering in one place as debate intensifies over the control of artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Earlier, a clash of opinions emerged among CEOs after Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned of risks including large-scale cyberattacks and argued that the AI industry as a whole should slow development.
The Donald Trump administration has maintained its opposition to excessive AI regulation or efforts to slow the pace of development, expressing concern that doing so could hand the lead to China.
China has also criticized Amodei’s remarks, describing them as “fearmongering.”
