SGC Cultural Foundation Holds 'Traveling Community Concert' at Severance Hospital

[Financial News] SGC Cultural Foundation held a Traveling Community Concert for patients, caregivers and medical staff at Severance Hospital.
According to SGC Cultural Foundation on the 21st, it held the concert at Woori Lounge at Severance Hospital on the 18th as part of its community cultural outreach initiative.
The concert was organized to provide patients receiving treatment at the hospital, their caregivers and medical staff with rest and emotional comfort through classical music. About 150 patients, caregivers and medical staff attended.
Kura Ensemble, a five-member group comprising a soprano, baritone, flutist, clarinetist and pianist, took the stage and performed for about an hour under the theme 'Autumn Serenade Concert.'
The program featured a variety of genres, including classical music, musicals, popular songs and religious music. The ensemble performed 'The Queen of the Night Aria' and 'Tarantella,' as well as the musical number 'All I Ask of You' and the popular song 'Because I Love You.' Explanations were provided for songs conveying comfort and hope, including 'Toward the Highest Place' and 'Gratitude.'
A representative of SGC Cultural Foundation said, "We planned this performance in the hope that classical music would provide a brief pause for patients and medical staff who are struggling on the front lines of medical care. Going forward, we will expand our traveling programs to share comfort and empathy in everyday life and bring the warmth of culture and the arts."
SGC Cultural Foundation is a nonprofit foundation established last year by SGC Energy, the holding company of SGC Group, to pursue social contribution initiatives through culture and the arts. It organizes cultural and artistic performances, supports artists' creative activities, operates cultural academies and carries out outreach programs for underserved communities.
