"This Chuseok, let's make a wish beneath 'SEOULDAL.'"
An event will be held where visitors can enjoy the Chuseok atmosphere while gazing at SEOULDAL floating above Yeouido Park alongside the full moon.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization (STO) will host the 12-day participatory event "Wishing on the Full Moon Beneath SEOULDAL" at the SEOULDAL site in Yeouido Park from the 24th, the first day of the Chuseok holiday, through October 5.
SEOULDAL is a balloon attraction that rises up to 130 meters above Yeouido, offering panoramic views of central Seoul and the Hangang River. Since opening in August 2024, it has become one of Seoul's signature nighttime tourism attractions, carrying more than 118,000 passengers through August this year.
The event will also feature traditional games and hands-on programs for the whole family. From the 24th through the 27th, during the Chuseok holiday, the Traditional Games Experience Zone will offer activities such as giant yutnori, decorating a wish tree, and a random dice game. Starting on the 28th, the SEOULDAL Game Zone will open with activities including SEOULDAL quiz roulette, which incorporates the attraction's distinctive features. Participants who complete the missions will receive various souvenirs, including SEOULDAL key caps and moon-jar keychains.
A photo zone capturing the Chuseok atmosphere will also be set up. The event venue will feature "Wish Doors Inside SEOULDAL," decorated with large moon sculptures measuring 3 meters and 2 meters in diameter, allowing visitors to capture SEOULDAL in the sky and the full moon on the ground in a single shot. Anyone can participate in the event, regardless of whether they ride SEOULDAL.
SEOULDAL will extend its operating hours by one hour on Fridays and Saturdays, until 11 p.m., through the end of next month. If you visit Yeouido during the Chuseok holiday, consider riding SEOULDAL to enjoy Seoul's nighttime skyline and making a family wish beneath the moonlight.
