[Breaking News] Military commanders involved in insurrection found guilty; Yeo In-hyung sentenced to 18 years, Lee Jin-woo to 15 years, and others

[Financial News] Criminal Division 26 of the Seoul Central District Court, presided over by Judge Hyun-Kyung Lee, held a sentencing hearing on the 21st for Yeo In-hyung, former commander of the Defense Counterintelligence Command (DCC); Lee Jin-woo, former commander of the Capital Defense Command; Park An-su, former Chief of Staff of the Republic of Korea Army and former martial law commander; Kwak Jong-geun, former commander of the Republic of Korea Army Special Warfare Command (ROK-SWC); and Sang-ho Moon, former commander of the Defense Intelligence Command. The court found all five guilty.
The special prosecutor sought 30 years in prison each for former commanders Yeo In-hyung and Lee Jin-woo, 25 years for former Chief of Staff Park An-su, and 20 years each for former commanders Kwak Jong-geun and Sang-ho Moon.
The panel confirmed the guilty verdicts, sentencing Yeo In-hyung to 18 years in prison, Lee Jin-woo to 15 years, Park An-su to 10 years, Kwak Jong-geun to nine years, and Sang-ho Moon to 12 years.
