Capture the demand for holiday family outings... Shopping malls and outlets offer abundant 'Chuseok content'

[Financial News] Ahead of the Chuseok holiday, shopping malls and outlets are setting out to capture the cultural and leisure demands of "malling enthusiasts." Going beyond mere shopping events, they are showcasing a wide range of experiential content, such as exhibitions, performances, and media facades, where families can spend the entire day.
According to industry sources on the 22nd, Starfield is hosting the "Hangawi Cultural Vacation," which combines global cultures with Korean traditions, at its major stores during the Chuseok holiday period. Starfield Goyang is holding the "K-Culture with Asia" festival until the 22nd, featuring over 130 domestic and international balloon artists, and showcasing large-scale works depicting the moon, tigers, moon jars, Thai elephants, and Chinese pandas. Starfield Hanam will recreate Namsan Tower, the Eiffel Tower, and the Statue of Liberty using balloons until the 1st of next month.
Traditional performances have also been prepared for the holiday. 'Baudeogi Pungmulnori' will be held at Starfield Suwon and Starfield Anseong on the 24th and 25th, respectively, while Goyang will present a Joseon Parade and a fusion outdoor play on the 25th. Chuseok special performances featuring the fusion band 'Second Moon' and vocalist Kim Mu Bin will be held at Starfield Library Starfield COEX Mall and Suwon on the 25th and 26th, respectively.
Lotte World Tower & Mall will also project a media facade featuring a full moon and a moon rabbit on the tower's exterior from the 24th to the 27th. The newly renovated Media Cube will showcase autumn season content that reacts to visitors' movements, and 20 types of autumn flowers, including roses, chrysanthemums, and asters, have been planted in the Werther Garden. Saxophone busking performances will be held at Seoul Sky on the 25th and 26th, and Lotte World Aquarium has prepared family-friendly content for the Chuseok holiday, such as baby penguins wearing Hanbok and holiday greetings from aquarists.
Lotte World Mall, Lotte World Aquarium, and Seoul Sky will operate normally during the Chuseok holiday period, but Lotte World Mall will open at 12:00 PM on Chuseok Day, later than usual. Lotte Department Store Avenuel Jamsil Branch will be closed on the 24th and 25th, while Lotte Museum of Art and Lotte Concert Hall will be closed on the 25th.
Outlets, which attract many family visitors, are also showcasing traditional culture experience content. Shinsegae Simon is holding a 'Holiday Mega Deal' at its Yeoju Premium Outlets, Shinsegae Simon Paju Premium Outlets, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets, and Siheung Premium Outlets branches until the 27th. In Yeoju, the Korean Folk Village will present a 'Sori Hanmadang' (Sound Festival) and traditional dance performances on the 25th, while in Siheung, a 'Nakwanori' (fireworks display) and traditional Korean music performances will be featured on the 26th. In Paju, the Yangju Byeolsandae Nori (traditional mask dance) and mask-making experience will take place on the 26th and 27th, and in Busan, the Dongnae Yaryu (traditional mask dance) and traditional costume experience will be held on the 25th and 26th.
