[Financial News] Coupang Eats is rolling out a discount promotion ahead of Chuseok that lets customers take care of everything from grocery shopping to preparing gifts in one go. Major supermarkets, convenience stores, and local neighborhood shops are participating, offering discounts on holiday foods and household items.
Coupang Eats announced on the 21st that it would hold the 'Chuseok Bonus' promotion in its 'Grocery Shopping' section from that day through the 27th. Coupang Wow members will receive free delivery with every order.
Coupang Eats' Grocery Shopping service delivers products from a range of stores, from neighborhood shops operated by local small-business owners to convenience stores and supermarkets. Its offerings include meat, seafood, side dishes, rice cakes, fruit, and vegetables, as well as fashion, beauty products, flowers, and household goods.
The promotion features gift sets including Chuseok staples such as meat, fruit, and rice cakes. The product selection is designed to let customers order holiday meal ingredients and gifts all at once.
Major supermarkets, including GS The Fresh, Homeplus Express, emart everyday, and Lotte Super, are also participating. Brand-specific discount coupons will help reduce the cost of purchasing holiday foods and items for ancestral rites. GS25, CU Convenience Store (CU), 7-Eleven, and emart24 are offering buy-one-get-one items and other promotions.
Coupang Eats is also holding a 'Chuseok Lucky Pouch Bonus Draw' event, which customers can enter once a day during the promotion. Discount coupons will be awarded through a drawing and can be used at participating stores for orders of at least 15,000 won.
A Coupang Eats representative said, "This discount promotion was arranged to make it more convenient for customers to shop for groceries and prepare gifts ahead of Chuseok."
