Kolon Benit Builds Next-Generation Disclosure System for The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc.

[Financial News] Kolon Benit announced on the 21st that it has begun construction of the next-generation electronic disclosure system for The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE).
This project involves upgrading 'PSE EDGE (Electronic Disclosure Generation Technology),' an electronic disclosure system operated by PSE, to align with the latest IT environment. PSE EDGE is a core information system of the Philippine securities market that handles everything from the submission of disclosures by listed companies to internal review and approval by the exchange, as well as the provision of disclosure information to investors. Korea Exchange (KRX) is overseeing the project based on its market operation experience and expertise in disclosure operations accumulated in the Korean capital market, while Kolon Benit, as a strategic IT partner, is responsible for the overall development of the next-generation system, including disclosure submission, management, and the investor portal.
Since participating in the construction of the electronic disclosure system currently operated by PSE in 2013–2014, Kolon Benit has continuously accumulated relevant experience in the fields of domestic and international disclosure and exchange systems. Domestically, while developing and operating the Financial Supervisory Service’s electronic disclosure system DART, Korea Exchange’s electronic disclosure system KIND, and the mobile disclosure system mKIND, the company has built capabilities in understanding business processes such as disclosure submission, review, and disclosure, stable development and operation of large-scale systems, data processing and structuring, and continuous system advancement.
In particular, Kolon Benit personnel who directly participated in the construction of the existing PSE disclosure system will lead the development of this next-generation project. Since the development of the existing PSE system, the project manager has continuously carried out domestic and international electronic disclosure system projects, including DART operation, mKIND development, and KIND operation and maintenance. Kolon Benit plans to support a stable transition to the next generation by combining its deep understanding of the existing EDGE system with its accumulated experience in developing and operating the latest disclosure systems in Korea.
In Phase 1, Kolon Benit will upgrade the entire process of disclosure submission, review, approval, inquiry, and data distribution to the latest environment while maintaining the stability of the existing PSE EDGE. It will strengthen responsive web, real-time data processing, high-speed search, and large-scale data processing capabilities. In Phase 2, it plans to build an XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language)-based disclosure system and integrate it with the Phase 1 system to structure financial information and enhance the verification and usability of disclosure data.
Kolon Benit is continuing its system projects related to the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX) and the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) in Vietnam. Recently, the company launched a system project to support the transfer of stocks listed on the HNX to the HoSE. Kolon Benit has also accumulated experience in the Vietnamese securities market system business, having previously participated in IT service projects related to the HNX and HoSE.
Based on its accumulated experience and expertise in system development and operation both domestically and internationally, Kolon Benit plans to build and enhance systems that respond to changes in the regulations and business environments of exchanges around the world, and continuously strengthen its expertise and competitiveness in the field of IT systems that support core exchange functions such as electronic disclosure, market information, and market surveillance.
