Final preparations underway ahead of Serious Crime Investigation Agency launch on October 2... On-site inspections at Busan and Daegu regional offices

With the Serious Crime Investigation Agency set to launch on October 2, work to establish office space and facilities at its Busan and Daegu regional offices has entered the final stages, following the headquarters and Seoul Regional Office. The government plans to equip them with the essential office space and related facilities needed to begin investigative work on the agency's first day.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety said on the 21st that Vice Minister Kim Min-jae, who heads the Serious Crime Investigation Agency Launch Preparation Team, visited the Busan and Daegu Regional Offices on the 20th and 21st to inspect preparations for the agency's opening.
Kim inspected the progress in establishing essential office space at both regional offices, as well as the construction status of related facilities. He urged personnel at the sites where office construction was underway to pay particular attention to preventing safety accidents.
Earlier, on the 8th, Kim visited Renesquare in Supyo-dong, Jung District, Seoul, where the agency's headquarters and Seoul Regional Office will be located, to inspect progress in establishing office space. The visits to Busan and Daegu continued the sequential inspections of preparations at the offices ahead of the agency's opening.
The Serious Crime Investigation Agency Launch Preparation Team plans to complete the establishment of essential office space and all necessary facilities in line with the October 2 opening schedule, ensuring that investigative work can proceed without disruption.
