"Real-Time Malfunction Detection"... Infiniq Supplies AI Safety Monitoring System to Lotte Department Store

[Financial News] Infiniq, an AI platform company, is supplying Lotte Department Store with the intelligent video analytics solution 'AURON-i Safety.' The system analyzes closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage in real time to automatically detect anomalies on site and supports monitoring personnel with alerts and warning sounds.
According to industry sources on the 21st, AURON-i Safety can add AI video analytics capabilities to existing CCTV infrastructure without installing additional sensors or video equipment or carrying out wiring work. This helps reduce deployment costs and the burden of on-site installation.
AURON-i Safety, installed at the Lotte Department Store Main Branch, analyzes footage from 72 existing CCTV cameras to detect escalator stoppages in real time. Before supplying the system, Infiniq conducted a proof of concept (PoC) using footage from various CCTV cameras operating at the site, including standard and fisheye cameras, and verified its detection performance. Based on the results, the company established a safety monitoring environment suited to actual operating conditions.
AURON-i Safety addresses the limitations of having a limited number of monitoring personnel manually review numerous CCTV screens by automatically identifying anomalies and supporting rapid initial responses. Infiniq plans to continuously enhance safety monitoring at public-use facilities such as department stores by expanding the system to include various AI video analytics features related to customer safety, including fall detection, detection of luggage carriers and strollers boarding escalators, and missing-child searches.
Park Kyung-seo, director of Infiniq's AI Business Division, said, "This deployment is significant because it applied AI-based safety monitoring functions while using the existing CCTV system as is." Park added, "We will continue expanding various AI video analytics solutions that can increase the utility of existing video infrastructure and enhance the safety of customers and sites."
