[Financial News]   Comprehensive management company BILLIONS is joining forces with Japanese entertainment giant Avex Entertainment to expand its global management business. The company will handle everything from overseas artists' album releases to their overall activities in South Korea, serving as a local partner connecting Japan and South Korea.
According to BILLIONS on the 21st, the company signed a management agreement with Avex Music Creative for the South Korean activities of eight-member boy group ONE OR EIGHT.
Under the agreement, BILLIONS will oversee ONE OR EIGHT's album releases, promotions, and overall activities in South Korea. The deal marks an expansion of its business scope, as the company will directly manage an overseas artist's activities in South Korea rather than merely distribute music.
ONE OR EIGHT has been active not only in Japan but also in the United States and Latin America. In 2025, the group's single "DSTM" remained on the U.S. radio chart Mediabase Top 40 for five consecutive weeks and also reached the top 40 on Billboard US Pop Airplay.
The title track "TOKYO DRIFT" from the group's first mini-album of the year, "GATHER," also appeared on the Mediabase Building Chart Top 40 for nine consecutive weeks. As of September, the group's cumulative streams across music platforms had exceeded 79 million, while its YouTube views surpassed 320 million.
ONE OR EIGHT is also expanding its overseas activities after signing with major U.S. record label Atlantic Music Group.
BILLIONS plans to use the agreement as an opportunity to strengthen its network with Japan's entertainment industry, including Avex Entertainment. The key point to watch is whether its local management business, which handles overseas artists' entry into South Korea, can evolve into a channel for securing global artists and content.
An entertainment industry source noted, "As South Korea emerges as a key market for global artists seeking to expand their fan bases across Asia, the role of local management partners is also growing," adding, "For domestic entertainment companies, this could become a business opportunity to connect directly with major overseas entertainment firms."
