NCsoft, "Reinterpreting Folk Songs," Unveils Soundtrack 'Jeong'

[Financial News] NCsoft has released the soundtrack album "Jeong: Blooming Hearts," which reinterprets traditional Korean folk songs in collaboration with the National Gugak Center Creative Orchestra. Presenting newly arranged versions of folk songs to the public, the album has been released for free so that it can be freely utilized by public institutions and cultural events.
According to the industry on the 21st, this album contains a total of 12 songs, including 6 tracks that are modern arrangements of familiar traditional folk songs such as 'Arirang', 'Doraji Taryeong', 'Neoyoung Nayoung', 'Gunbam Taryeong', and 'Nililiya'.
The album production involved NCSOUND, NCsoft's in-house sound organization, as well as the National Gugak Center Creative Orchestra and students from the School of Korean Traditional Arts, Korea National University of Arts. NCSOUND handled the arrangements. Vocals were performed by Kim Hye-jin (Gyeonggi Minyo), Maeng Hwi-seo (Jeongga), Lee Si-eun (Seodo Minyo), Lee Yu-jeong (Gyeonggi Minyo), and Jang Su-min (Gyeonggi Minyo). The instrumentation was provided by the National Gugak Center Creative Orchestra.
The included tracks will also be used for Chuseok season events in NCsoft's major games, such as 'AION 2' and 'Throne and Liberty'. They can be listened to for free on major domestic music streaming sites.
