Hongcheon County to Raise Monthly Issuance of Hongcheon Sarang Card to 3 Billion Won

【Financial News Hongcheon=Kim Gi-seop, Reporter】Hongcheon County will increase the monthly issuance of its card-based local gift certificate, the 'Hongcheon Sarang Card,' from 2 billion won to 3 billion won.
According to Hongcheon County on the 21st, the county decided to expand the issuance of the Hongcheon Sarang Card to ensure its stable operation and promote local consumption after securing additional national government funds for local gift certificates.
Accordingly, Hongcheon County will increase the monthly issuance of the Hongcheon Sarang Card from the previous 2 billion won to 3 billion won, starting next month, October. This issuance level will remain in place through December. The purchase limit and discount rate will remain unchanged, allowing each person to purchase the card at a 12% discount, up to 400,000 won per month.
The county expects the expanded issuance to improve user convenience, boost local consumption, increase sales for small business owners and self-employed people, and revitalize the local economy. The card-based Hongcheon Sarang gift certificate can be conveniently purchased and reloaded through the dedicated Local Gift Certificate chak app.
A Hongcheon County official said, "Thanks to the national government funds secured this time, we can now issue up to 3 billion won worth of Hongcheon Sarang Cards each month." The official added, "We will do our best to operate the program so that the increased issuance, while maintaining the 12% discount, leads to consumption throughout neighborhood commercial districts and provides support for small business owners."
