[Financial News] AI software and digital healthcare company Tomato System hit the daily upper price limit shortly after the market opened.
According to the Korea Exchange (KRX) on the 21st, Tomato System was trading at 2,550 won as of 9:15 a.m., up 29.97% from the previous trading day. The stock opened at 1,999 won, up 1.52% from the previous session, and reached the daily upper price limit at around 9:05 a.m.
Tomato System announced that MCP Texas, an insurance company under U.S. Medcare Partners (MCP) in which it made a strategic equity investment, had received final approval from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for its insurance business next year.
CMS is a federal government agency under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that administers and oversees public health insurance programs for older adults, people with disabilities and low-income individuals.
Previously, in October last year, Tomato System jointly made a 5% equity investment in MCP with its U.S. subsidiary CyberMDCare (CMD).
