"Bring the Whole Family to the National Maritime Museum of Korea During the Chuseok Holiday"

The National Maritime Museum of Korea, located in the Busan Yeongdo Marine Cluster, announced on the 21st that it will offer a variety of cultural and hands-on programs for the whole family from the 24th through the 27th in celebration of the Chuseok holiday. The museum is headed by Director Kim Jong-hae.
During this period, visitors can enjoy five traditional Korean folk games—yut nori, tuho, sabangchigi, gonggi, and jegichagi—in the multipurpose hall on the first floor of the National Maritime Museum of Korea. They can also take receipt-style film photos with the museum's character, Tami.
The auditorium on the first floor will screen four Chuseok holiday films that the whole family can enjoy together.
On September 25, Chuseok Day, a diver dressed in hanbok will conduct the "Chuseok Celebration Feeding Show" in the aquarium on the third floor starting at 11:30 a.m.
The unusual sight of a diver feeding marine life in a festive holiday setting will offer visitors a special attraction.
Online, the museum will run the "Make a Wish to Haebumi" event through its official Instagram account and blog until the 27th.
Participants can follow the museum's social media accounts and leave their Chuseok wishes in the comments on the event post. Prizes will be awarded through a raffle.
Visitors can also explore a variety of exhibitions at the National Maritime Museum of Korea.
The second floor features the special exhibition "Port Opening: 150 Years of the Port of Busan," commemorating the 150th anniversary of the opening of the Port of Busan. On the third floor, visitors can see the themed exhibition "Blue Heart, Mangroves," which introduces the ecology and value of mangroves.
Kim Jong-hae, director of the National Maritime Museum of Korea, said, "We have prepared a range of programs, including movies, traditional games, and an aquarium feeding show, so that families visiting the museum during the Chuseok holiday can enjoy them along with the exhibitions. We hope you have an enjoyable and meaningful Chuseok holiday with your family at the National Maritime Museum of Korea."
The National Maritime Museum of Korea will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the Chuseok holiday. The parking lot will be open free of charge for visitors.
