[Financial News] SK hynix American depositary receipts (ADRs) have been added to the portfolio of Samsung Asset Management’s 'KODEX U.S. Semiconductor' exchange-traded fund (ETF).
Samsung Asset Management said on the 21st that the 'KODEX U.S. Semiconductor' ETF had newly added SK hynix ADR following a regular rebalancing of its underlying index.
The addition followed this month’s regular rebalancing of the U.S. SMH Semiconductor Index, which the ETF tracks. SK hynix ADR, listed on the Nasdaq market in the United States on July 10, was added to a leading U.S. semiconductor index about two months after its listing. Its weighting is approximately 4.8%.
The U.S. SMH Semiconductor Index is tracked by VanEck’s 'SMH,' the largest semiconductor ETF in the United States. SMH also added SK hynix ADR as part of this regular rebalancing. With approximately $70 billion in net assets, or about 97 trillion won, SMH ranks first among semiconductor ETFs listed in the United States by net asset value.
Through KODEX U.S. Semiconductor, Korean investors can easily invest in Korean won in a portfolio identical to that of the largest U.S. semiconductor ETF. The fund invests in 25 leading global semiconductor companies listed in the United States, including NVIDIA, TSMC, Broadcom, ASML, and Micron Technology, and has added SK hynix ADR through this regular rebalancing. With a total expense ratio of 0.09%, it is suitable for efficient long-term investment through ordinary brokerage accounts, pension savings accounts, and retirement pension accounts, including IRP and DC plans.
Han Dong-hoon, a manager at Samsung Asset Management, said, "The semiconductor industry supporting AI is experiencing simultaneous changes across waves of varying sizes amid a massive growth tide." He added, "KODEX U.S. Semiconductor is a product that quickly reflects the latest trends and representative market exposure."
