[Financial News] Woori Financial Group will provide a total of 3 billion won over the next 10 years to help promising young athletes develop into future national team members. At 'Woori Momocon,' a social contribution concert combining performances with charitable giving, the group announced the launch of its new sports social contribution initiative, 'Woori Dream Bridge.'
Woori Financial Group said on the 21st that it held '2026 Woori Momocon' on the 19th at Seoul Land in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province. During the event, the group officially announced its 10-year support plan for the new sports social contribution initiative, Woori Dream Bridge.
Now in its fourth year, Momocon was held in a new format that combined performances with a theme park. Visitors enjoyed performances by various artists, including QWER, Jinusean, Jannabi and YB (formerly Yoon Do-hyun Band), while cheering for Team Korea, which competed in the Asian Games. They also shared in the spirit of giving at the NGO Village.
The highlight of the event was the launch ceremony for Woori Dream Bridge, which featured Woori Financial Group Chairman Lim Jong-ryong, Woori Bank brand ambassador Jang Won-young and philanthropic singer Sean.
Launched by Woori Financial Group this year, Woori Dream Bridge is a long-term sports social contribution initiative designed to help young athletes pursue their dreams and grow into future national team members despite challenging circumstances, including financial difficulties at home. Woori Financial Group plans to invest a total of 3 billion won over the next 10 years, through 2036, to identify and support 60 promising athletes each year.
Chairman Lim said, "Now in its fourth year, 'Woori Momocon' has evolved beyond a conventional charitable event into a social contribution concert that incorporates sports." He added, "Building on the positive energy gathered at 'Woori Momocon,' we will actively pursue the 'Woori Dream Bridge' initiative and continue our unique commitment to social responsibility."
