Third Round of Hoengseong Half-Price Travel Begins; Get Up to 70% of Your Spending Back

【Financial News Hoengseong = Reporter Kim Gi-seop】The third round of Hoengseong Half-Price Travel, which allows travelers to receive more than half of their spending back, is reopening during the peak autumn travel season.
According to Hoengseong County on the 21st, the county will begin accepting applications for the third round of Hoengseong Half-Price Travel at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 28, in celebration of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST)'s Travel Month campaign. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the official Hoengseong Half-Price Travel website.
The first and second rounds previously attracted interest from tourists nationwide, with applications closing early. Buoyed by the strong response, the county added a third round ahead of the autumn tourism season. Travelers who complete advance registration will receive support covering 50% to 70% of the amount they spend in Hoengseong County from Oct. 1 through 31.
October is especially appealing for visitors, as major festivals representing Hoengseong County will be held one after another. The Anheung Steamed Bun Festival, featuring food and entertainment, will run from Oct. 2 to 4, followed by the Hoengseong Korean Beef Festival, one of South Korea's leading food festivals, from Oct. 7 to 11. It is also the ideal time to enjoy Hoengseong County's diverse natural scenery, including the Hoengseonghosugil Trail, a popular destination for autumn foliage.
Park Eun-jung, head of Hoengseong County's Culture and Tourism Division, said, "As this third round will refund 50% to 70% of travel payments made in Hoengseong County throughout October, visitors will be able to make the trip without a heavy financial burden. With the Anheung Steamed Bun Festival and Hoengseong Korean Beef Festival taking place one after another and the autumn foliage along the Hoengseonghosugil Trail reaching its peak, we hope visitors can enjoy both great value and memorable experiences."
