KB Kookmin Bank Raises Fixed-Term Deposit Rates Again, Up to 3.5%

[Financial News] KB Kookmin Bank raised the interest rate on its flagship fixed-term deposit product, 'KB Star Fixed-Term Deposit,' by 0.1 percentage points on the 21st. This was an additional increase just one week after the bank raised the rate on the same product by up to 0.6 percentage points on the 14th.
According to financial industry sources, KB Kookmin Bank raised the annual interest rate on deposits with maturities of one year or more but less than two years from 3.4% to 3.5%.
Rates for maturities of six months or more but less than nine months, and nine months or more but less than one year, each rose from 3.15% to 3.25% per year.
For maturities of two years or more but less than three years, the rate had risen from 2.4% to 3.0% per year on the 14th. The three-year rate had also increased from 2.4% to 2.6%, and both rates remained unchanged this time.
The product's rate is the highest among the one-year fixed-term deposit rates offered by the five major banks: KB Kookmin, Shinhan, Hana, Woori and Nonghyup.
Nonghyup Bank offers an annual rate of 3.45% on its 'NH All One e-Deposit.' Shinhan Bank's 'Solpyeonhan Fixed-Term Deposit' and Woori Bank's 'WON Plus Deposit' each offer 3.5%, while Hana Bank's 'Hana Fixed-Term Deposit' offers 3.3%.
