Mayor Park Chan-dae Visits Sites Serving Residents Ahead of Chuseok, Inspects Traditional Markets, Welfare and Safety Measures

【Financial News, Incheon = Han Gap-su, Reporter】Ahead of Chuseok, Incheon Metropolitan City will visit traditional markets, welfare facilities, and public safety, firefighting and maritime safety sites in succession to hear from residents and encourage workers on duty. Incheon Metropolitan City said on the 21st that Mayor Park Chan-dae would visit key sites related to residents' livelihoods on the 21st and 23rd.
On the 21st, Mayor Park will visit the Galsan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, participate in delivering boxed meals to homebound seniors, and encourage participants in senior employment programs and welfare facility officials. He will then inspect price trends for major agricultural products at the Samsan Agricultural Products Wholesale Market, take part in a holiday fire prevention campaign, and visit the Bupyeong Station Police Substation to encourage officers working to maintain public safety during the holiday period.
On the 23rd, he will visit the Soraepogu Traditional Fish Market in Namdong-gu to check holiday prices and hear about merchants' difficulties. At the Incheon Port Vessel Traffic Service Center, he will inspect maritime safety measures for the Chuseok holiday and call for thorough safety management in preparation for increased passenger and cargo traffic.
He will then encourage merchants at Yonghyeon Market in Michuhol-gu and shop for holiday groceries. He also plans to promote the Incheon e-Eum cashback program, which resumed on the 18th, helping ease residents' shopping burden while supporting the revitalization of local businesses.
At the Juan 119 Safety Center, he will inspect local fire safety measures and encourage firefighters. At Incheon General Terminal, he will review transportation measures for the Chuseok holiday and extend holiday greetings to travelers heading home.
He will also visit the 24-Hour Loneliness Counseling Call, which opened last August, to encourage counselors and hear their views so that the service can become a warm channel of connection for residents who feel lonely during the holiday period.
Incheon Metropolitan City plans to implement comprehensive measures covering prices, transportation, healthcare and welfare during the Chuseok holiday and monitor conditions in real time to minimize inconvenience for residents.
