Gangwon State to Host Accommodation Discount Festa Through November 8, Offering Up to 70,000 Won Off for Consecutive-Night Stays

【Financial News, Inje—Reporter Kim Ki-seop】An autumn travel season has begun, offering discounts of up to 70,000 won for consecutive-night bookings at accommodations in Gangwon State.
According to Gangwon State on the 21st, the province is jointly holding the 2026 Korea Accommodation Discount Festa—Fall Edition with MCST and KTO from September 22 to November 8.
For a one-night stay, travelers can receive a 30,000-won discount when booking accommodation priced at 70,000 won or more, or a 20,000-won discount for accommodation priced below 70,000 won. For stays of two or more consecutive nights, bookings priced at 140,000 won or more qualify for a discount of up to 70,000 won.
The province is also holding the Gangwon Tourism Bingo Challenge for tourists visiting Gangwon during the Chuseok holiday. Participants who collect stamps at major tourist attractions and traditional markets can enter a prize drawing.
The province has selected Chuncheon and Sokcho as recommended September destinations, and Cheorwon and Inje County as recommended October destinations, and is welcoming tourists. In Sokcho, it recommended an autumn wellness itinerary that begins at Seoraksan National Park, passes through Seorak Hyanggiro and Cheoksan Hot Springs, and ends at Sokcho Tourist & Fishery Market. In Chuncheon, it introduced an autumn family travel route featuring Uiam Park, Sairo 248, and the Animation Museum.
In Cheorwon, Goseokjeong Flower Field was selected as a recommended attraction, with 150,000 autumn flowers—including cockscombs, cosmos, sunflowers, and globe amaranths—in full bloom. In Inje County, visitors were encouraged to enjoy an autumn hike at Baekdamsa Temple, surrounded by fall foliage, and take in busking performances and various hands-on activities at Autumn Flower Festival, Inje Korea.
Lee Dong-hee, director of the Gangwon State Tourism Bureau, said, "Gangwon State is, without question, the best destination for an autumn foliage trip. I hope you enjoy a budget-friendly and abundant autumn in Gangwon by taking advantage of the Accommodation Discount Festa, which offers up to 30,000 won off for a one-night stay and up to 70,000 won for consecutive-night stays, along with the Gangwon Tourism Bingo Challenge."
