Kumho Engineering & Construction Selected as Preferred Bidder for 391 Billion-Won Songdo Severance Hospital Project

[Financial News] Kumho Engineering & Construction has been selected as the preferred bidder for the new construction of Songdo Severance Hospital, a project with a total construction cost of 391 billion won. The company plans to expand its construction business based on its experience in building medical facilities.
According to Kumho Engineering & Construction on the 21st, Songdo Severance Hospital will be built at Yonsei International Campus in Songdo, Incheon, located in District 7 of Songdo International City in Yeonsu-gu, Incheon Metropolitan City. The hospital will have three basement levels and 13 above-ground floors, with a gross floor area of approximately 145,000 square meters. It is expected to serve as a medical and research hub combining clinical care with biotech research.
Kumho Engineering & Construction has continued to win projects in the medical facilities sector. It is currently constructing the new Wonju Severance Christian Hospital in a project worth approximately 227.2 billion won. The company also recently won the new construction project for the second hospital of Wonju Yonsei Medical Center and is preparing to begin construction.
The company is also diversifying its architectural business portfolio. Following projects such as Samsung Electronics’ Plaekt Korea Plant, the KINTEX Parking Complex Building, and the Jangji Bus Depot Three-Dimensional Development Project, it secured preferred bidder status for the hospital project as well.
