Nine Hotels in South Korea Receive MICHELIN Keys, Up One from Last Year

The Michelin Guide announced its 2026 hotel selection, naming 55 hotels in South Korea, nine of which received MICHELIN Key distinctions.
The MICHELIN Key is awarded based on a comprehensive evaluation of a hotel's facilities, service, character and overall guest experience. This year, Four Seasons Hotel Seoul was upgraded to two MICHELIN Keys, while Yuwonjae in Suanbo, Chungju, newly received one MICHELIN Key.
The hotels that retained their existing MICHELIN Keys were Signiel Busan and SIGNIEL Seoul, with two Keys each, and The Shilla Seoul, Josun Palace Seoul Gangnam, Luxury Collection Hotel, ART PARADISO BOUTIQUE HOTEL, Fairmont Ambassador Seoul and JW Marriott Jeju Resort & Spa, with one Key each.
The number of MICHELIN Key hotels in South Korea consequently rose by one from last year. There are three two-Key hotels and six one-Key hotels.
This year, more than 470 hotels in 79 countries newly joined the Michelin hotel selection worldwide, bringing the total number of MICHELIN Key hotels to approximately 2,800. Of these, 155 have three Keys, 657 have two Keys and 2,020 have one Key.
This year, MICHELIN Key hotels were selected for the first time in 10 countries: Armenia, Benin, the Republic of Botswana, Kazakhstan, Liechtenstein, Mongolia, Myanmar, Rwanda, Slovakia and the Republic of Zimbabwe.
