Hana Financial Group Delivers "Hangawi Happiness Boxes" to 700 Households of Older Adults for Chuseok

[Financial News] Hana Financial Group conducted an employee volunteer activity ahead of Chuseok, Korea's major traditional holiday. It will deliver about 700 "Hangawi Happiness Boxes" containing songpyeon, daily necessities and other items, made by its employees and their families, to older adults nationwide.
On the 20th, Hana Financial Group said it had held the "Making Songpyeon with Love" employee volunteer activity at its Myeong-dong headquarters in Jung District, Seoul, on the 19th to share the warmth of Hangawi with older adults in the local community. More than 100 members of the Hana Love Volunteer Group, made up of group employees and their families, took part in the event.
The participating employees and their family members carefully made three-colored songpyeon and spent meaningful time assembling "Hangawi Happiness Boxes" filled with traditional Korean confectionery and daily necessities.
This year's "Hangawi Happiness Boxes" contained songpyeon, traditional Korean confectionery, roasted seaweed for lunch boxes, instant rice and eco-friendly dishcloths. A total of about 700 boxes, including 100 boxes containing songpyeon made by the volunteers, will be delivered to older adults nationwide.
Hana Financial Group has regularly carried out employee volunteer activities for vulnerable members of local communities during the holiday season each year.
In addition, 25 employees of the group's affiliate Hana Life Insurance took part in a volunteer activity held on the 18th at Yeonhui Senior Cultural Center in Seohae-gu, Incheon. Hana Life Insurance employees also joined in making songpyeon and assembling "Happiness Boxes," sharing warmth with the local community.
