SKT Uses AI to Prevent Voice Phishing, Care for Vulnerable Groups and Create Social Value

[Financial News] SKT will showcase cases in which it uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help prevent voice phishing and care for vulnerable groups, among other efforts to address social issues.
SKT said on the 20th that it will participate in the 3rd Korea Social Value Festa, which will be held for two days starting on the 21st at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul, and introduce various examples of its sustainable-management vision, 'DO THE GOOD AI.'
'DO THE GOOD AI' signifies SKT's commitment to sustainable management that uses AI to strengthen its technological competitiveness, secure reliability and safety, and make a positive contribution to society.
SKT will set up a 72-square-meter exhibition space under the theme 'A Sustainable Future Together Through Better Connections' and showcase 11 examples of creating social value through AI technologies and services.
Key exhibits include 'A-dot Phone Family Care,' which uses AI to help prevent voice phishing; 'FAME,' an AI-powered financial-incident detection service; 'AI Care Call,' which uses AI to check on the well-being of vulnerable groups; and 'CareVia,' which uses vision AI to support the daily lives of people with developmental disabilities.
SKT will also introduce FLY AI Challenger, through which young AI talent tackle social issues, and Happy AI Coding School & Challenge, which builds AI capabilities among future generations. Services from the winning FLY AI Challenger teams and companies participating in SKT's startup incubation program will also be displayed.
The exhibition space presents not only individual technologies and services but also how various AI services connect people with one another, and technology with society, expanding into sustainable social value. Eco-friendly materials, including recycled plastic, were used to build the booth.
A Sketch Concert will also be held at 4 p.m. on the 21st, the first day of the event. The Sketch Concert will provide a forum for startups participating in SKT's ESG startup incubation program, Sketch for Good, to share the social issues they identified in the field and their proposed solutions.
The concert will cover three themes: digital inclusion and care, climate disaster response, and digital crime prevention. Experts in each field will identify the challenges facing society, while participating startups will present cases in which they used their technologies and services to address those problems. Concrete solutions will also be discussed through panel sessions.
