[Financial News] Roh Tae-moon, president and head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division, emphasized, "Artificial intelligence (AI) is an unstoppable trend, and it will drive innovation by creating intelligent, hyper-personalized experiences in every space where consumers live their daily lives, going beyond physical limitations."
At the 2026 Tech Forum held in Silicon Valley on the 18th (local time), Roh said, "Samsung Electronics will become a leading company that drives the transition to AI transformation (AX) by serving as a partner that provides customers with the best AI experiences." The forum brought together technology talent to introduce the company's key business directions and research areas and discuss the latest technology trends.
Now in its eighth year, the event was held at Samsung Research America (SRA) in Mountain View, Silicon Valley. About 80 people attended, including senior developers from global IT companies and key Samsung Electronics executives.
The event was attended by Roh Tae-moon, president and head of the DX Division; Lee Won-jin, president and head of the Visual Display Business; Yoon Jang-hyun, chief technology officer (CTO); and Choi Won-joon, chief operating officer (COO) of the Mobile eXperience (MX) Division.
The forum was linked to the vision of "Your Everyday AI Companion" presented at CES 2026 earlier this year. Samsung Electronics executives shared their mid- to long-term AI vision and business strategy, which expand beyond AI as a standalone technology to AI and robots integrated into everyday life. They also exchanged views on the vision with the global talent attending the event.
In a keynote speech titled 'AI at Samsung Electronics, Leading the Future,' Yoon Jang-hyun, CTO of the DX Division, presented a new paradigm that will emerge from the convergence of next-generation AI technologies and robotics.
An AI developer from a global company who attended the forum said, "By communicating directly with Samsung Electronics executives, I was able to experience the company's vision for AI and robotics, which seeks to innovate not only products and services but also the way people work."
Samsung Electronics said, "We will continue to hold a variety of events to strengthen networking and technology exchanges with outstanding global talent."
