Busan Museum to Hold Chuseok Cultural Event for Three Days Starting on the 25th

[Financial News] Busan Museum said on the 20th that it will hold “Hangawi: Ride a Horse Around the Museum” for three days starting on the 25th to celebrate the Chuseok holiday.
The event was organized to give residents and tourists visiting the museum during the Chuseok holiday an opportunity to enjoy Korean traditional culture alongside the exhibitions and create holiday memories. To mark 2026, the Year of the Red Horse, the museum will offer participatory programs for visitors of all ages, including unique horse-themed activities and traditional folk games.
The event will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the first-floor lobby of Busan Exhibition Hall and the outdoor courtyard. It will be closed during lunchtime. The signature program, “Ride a Horse Around the Museum,” will take place in the first-floor lobby of Busan Exhibition Hall. Participants can wear an inflatable horse suit and try on traditional clothing, including a dopo robe and a gat hat. The program combines the atmosphere of the Year of the Fire Horse with the traditional spirit of Chuseok.
Visitors can experience traditional folk games in the museum’s outdoor courtyard. The whole family, from children to adults, can enjoy yutnori, tuho throwing, jegichagi, top spinning, ttakji flipping and sabangchigi. No advance registration is required, and visitors may participate freely during the event hours. The program may be modified or canceled depending on weather conditions, such as rain.
A satisfaction survey event will also be held. The first 200 participants each day who take part in the survey will receive a souvenir designed with the Busan Museum building as its motif. Family groups will be limited to a maximum of two souvenirs.
