[Financial News] Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Group, said on the 20th that it had created a media experience zone using Samsung Electronics' glasses-free three-dimensional (3D) display, Spatial Signage, in the autumn horror-themed zone Blood City Zero.
The collaboration was designed to combine Everland's storytelling-themed zone with Samsung Electronics' advanced display technology, providing visitors with an immersive visual experience.
Installed at Blood City Zero on the 18th, Spatial Signage uses Samsung Electronics' proprietary 3D Plate technology. It creates a three-dimensional effect that makes it appear as though deep space exists inside the display, without requiring 3D glasses or other special equipment.
The media horror experience zone features five Samsung Electronics displays, offering a multidimensional immersive experience. Moving beyond simply watching videos, the zone incorporates interactive elements that make the content respond to visitors' touches and movements.
The 85-inch Spatial Signage installed at the center of the experience zone features San of the group ATEEZ, this year's Blood City advertising model, appearing as a zombie. When visitors touch San on the screen, a 3D video plays in which the zombie appears to reach a hand out beyond the display.
Samsung Electronics' smart signage displays positioned on either side are equipped with facial and distance-recognition sensors. When visitors approach the screens, the sensors detect them in real time and show a responsive video in 4K resolution of a zombie moving toward them.
Blood City, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, will operate under the theme Blood City Zero through November 22.
