Serving Police Officer Assaulted Another Daycare Parent After Argument While Dropping Off Child

Gwacheon Police Station in Gyeonggi Province said on the 18th that it had booked a man in his 30s, identified as A, who is affiliated with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, on suspicion of assault.
A is accused of assaulting the neck area of another parent, a man in his 30s identified as B, near a daycare center in an apartment complex in Gwacheon at around 9 a.m. on the 9th. B reportedly suffered minor injuries to his neck and received treatment.
A reportedly encountered B, with whom he had a strained relationship, while dropping off his child. The two got into an argument, during which A allegedly assaulted him.
A police official said, "A report has been filed, and an investigation is currently underway," adding, "We cannot confirm anything else about the case."
