[Financial News] Singer Yang Hee-eun revealed for the first time that she underwent cancer surgery in April. It was later reported that she also underwent corneal transplant surgery in June, drawing attention to her health condition.
On the 18th, Kim Young-chul's YouTube channel posted a video titled 'Top Impressionist Kim Young-chul Challenges Veteran Singer Yang Hee-eun: What Was the Result? (+Yang Hee-eun's Health Condition).'
Kim Young-chul traveled to Buyeo, South Chungcheong Province, to meet Yang Hee-eun. She was taking a break there while operating a place to stay and a café. She had recently taken a break from her radio show because of eye surgery, and photos of her using a cane were posted on social media, sparking concern among fans. Yang Hee-eun spent time recovering after undergoing corneal transplant surgery in June.
Kim Young-chul said he had come in person because he was worried about Yang Hee-eun's health. Referring to a photo of Yang with Lee Sung-mi and Park Mi-sun, he said, "I came to look after her." When Kim said he had been surprised to see her using a cane, Yang laughed and replied, "What do you mean, look after me?"
During their conversation, Yang Hee-eun also revealed that she had undergone cancer surgery, a fact she had not previously made public. She shocked Kim Young-chul by saying, "I actually had cancer surgery in April. The eye surgery was in June." She had undergone cancer surgery two months before her corneal transplant. Regarding her meeting with Park Mi-sun, who recently disclosed her own battle with cancer, Yang said they shouted "Cancer strong" to each other.
Earlier, photos of Yang Hee-eun smiling with Park Mi-sun, Lee Sung-mi and others while using a cane prompted concern about her health. At the time, it was only known that she was recovering from corneal transplant surgery. Through this video, it was additionally revealed that she had undergone cancer surgery in April, before the eye surgery.
