Fire Breaks Out on Escalator at Exit 5 of Seoul's Yeouido Station; No Casualties Reported

[Financial News] A fire broke out at Yeouido Station in Seoul's Yeongdeungpo District, but no casualties were reported.
According to fire authorities and others, the fire broke out at around 5:49 p.m. on the 18th on an escalator at Exit 5 of Yeouido Station in Seoul's Yeongdeungpo District.
No casualties were reported in the fire. However, confusion briefly ensued as passengers evacuated the station.
Seoul Yeongdeungpo Fire Station said it deployed 14 vehicles and 58 personnel and completely extinguished the fire at around 6:34 p.m., about 45 minutes after it broke out.
Exit 5 of Yeouido Station is currently closed, but subway services are operating normally.
