【Financial News Jeonnam-Gwangju = Hwang Tae-jong, Reporter】Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City (Gwangju Metropolitan City) has decided to hold the '2026 Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Job Fair' on October 14 at the indoor gymnasium at Gwangyang Public Stadium and is recruiting participating companies through the 23rd.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City, the integrated job fair is designed to create a meeting place for local employers and job seekers, helping companies address labor shortages while providing job seekers with employment opportunities.
An official from Gwangju Metropolitan City emphasized, "This fair will give local companies the opportunity to meet the talent they need in person, while allowing job seekers to explore a range of recruitment information and employment opportunities in one place."
Gwangju Metropolitan City, nine cities and counties, the Jeonnam Small and Medium Enterprises, Jobs and Economy Promotion Agency, Jeonnam Technopark, the Gwangju Economic Promotion and Win-Win Jobs Foundation, and the Gwangju-Jeonnam Regional Office of SMEs and Startups will participate as regional organizations involved in employment.
The fair will feature a Hiring Zone where companies and job seekers can meet in person, a Future Industries Zone introducing Jeonnam-Gwangju's key industries, and a Policy Promotion Zone offering job-entry counseling for public and large corporations as well as information on Jeonnam-Gwangju employment policies. It will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This year, in particular, the fair will operate an 'AI Experience Center' where visitors can explore artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and related careers, helping job seekers gain a better understanding of future industries and emerging occupations.
Participating companies will be provided with company-specific recruitment booths for on-site interviews with job seekers. Companies unable to attend in person may participate through indirect recruitment methods, such as posting job openings.
Eligible participants are companies planning to hire talent in the Jeonnam-Gwangju region. Applications are open to companies in all industries.
Companies wishing to participate must submit the application form, job vacancy form, and other relevant documents by the 23rd. Application details are available through the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Job Information Portal, or companies may contact the Jeonnam Comprehensive Jobs Center.
