BNK Busan Bank Continues Its '31-Year Partnership' with the Busan International Film Festival

[Financial News] BNK Busan Bank will continue its '31-year partnership' with BIFF this year as well.

The BIFF office and BNK Busan Bank announced on the 20th that they held a ceremony at Busan Bank's headquarters on the 18th to present sponsorship funds for the successful staging of the 31st Busan International Film Festival.
Under a sponsorship agreement, Busan Bank will provide in-kind support worth 500 million won and sponsor 200 million won in cash, for a total of 700 million won in sponsorships and goods.
Busan Bank has provided sponsorship every year without exception, from the first BIFF in 1996 through this year's 31st edition. As the festival, which began locally, grew into a leading film festival in Asia, the bank consistently supported its development and has served as a steadfast partner in advancing local culture and the arts.
Kim Seong-ju, president of BNK Busan Bank, said, "It is especially meaningful that we have been able to stand by BIFF consistently for 31 years, from the moment it took its first step. We will continue to support it as a steadfast partner so that BIFF can grow beyond Busan into a cultural festival shared by people around the world."
In response, Park Kwang-su, chair of the BIFF, said, "In keeping with the meaning of our 31-year partnership, I deeply thank Busan Bank for standing by us and providing invaluable support without fail since the festival's first year."
This year's 31st Busan International Film Festival will be held for 10 days from Oct. 6 to 15 at venues including the Busan Cinema Center and across Busan.
